Three Eagles Communications, Inc. was formed in 1994 by Rolland C. Johnson for the purpose of acquiring small to medium size radio operations in the Midwest and West. With its first acquisition in 1996, TEC has since grown to 49 radio stations (including its September 1, 2007 purchase) in four Midwestern states - Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, and South Dakota. Recently TEC sold its properties on September 12, 2014 and moved its primary operations from Lincoln, NE to Salida, CO.
